A Day in the Life: Constable Rajesh (CRPF)

Wake-up Call
The bugle sounds. Rajesh jumps out of his bunk in the CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh. He is part of a counter-insurgency unit deployed in a Naxal-affected area.
Physical Training
The platoon does PT (Physical Training). Running, push-ups, and tactical drills. Fitness is non-negotiable in the CRF.
Breakfast & Briefing
The Platoon Commander briefs the team. 'Intelligence suggests Naxal activity in Sector 5. We will conduct a patrol.' Rajesh checks his rifle, ammunition, and communication device.
The Patrol
Rajesh and his team move into the dense forest. Every step is calculated. They look for signs of Naxal camps—disturbed vegetation, abandoned weapons, or food remnants. The tension is palpable.
Lunch in the Field
They eat packed rations (Biscuits, Canned food) in the forest. No hot meals during operations. Rajesh drinks water from his bottle and checks his ammunition count.
